Our Story.

We are birders too, and like many of our friends we cannot travel to see all the birds on earth. So we bring the images of those birds home to enjoy here.

We founded the world famous Alamo Inn B&B, Gear and Tours in 1999 to serve traveling birders in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas. But not everyone travels, and those who travel have down time, so Birders on the Road brings the birds for us to enjoy where we spend most of our time, at home.

We have correspondents around the world recording their local birds to share with us. We seek out local guides, and pay them to shoot and edit videos in their slow times. As new videos arrive every week, we add them to this site.
